We love story time. Turns out Rebekah's swim lessons and story time overlap. I was not happy. Miss Brenda, however, rose above and beyond and suggested Rebekah come early to do her craft with her first, stay for story time, then leave while the other's are doing their craft. It works out great. She is so wonderful to do that for my little girl!
Making an owl and using paint and a piece of celery to make the feathers.
Ingenious!
Kids hang on her every word.
She is so great with them!
Rebekah got her yearly flu shot. She gets the nasal spray and one of the side effects was cold like symptoms. Being related to me, she of course gets it. We came home from church so we could rest and hopefully get her a nap. And she did fall asleep. For 10 min. Yeah. That's my girl.
Rebekah loves to paint. She is very serious about the craft.
She asked me to paint with her and suggested I start with a whale. I did. A white whale. Which she then suggested that it, "wasn't very magnificent. Maybe use some green." I did. She still was not impressed.
She did, however, like this one. I was very pleased! Until she decided it needed to go on the fridge and hung it sideways. (It's an ocean sunset scene people - yellow sun, palm tree, blue water...).
She also liked this one - a Christmas tree. She even helped me decorate it!
Rebekah also takes my phone and tries her hand at photography. Some Rebekah original selfies:
Yes, that is her nose in the corner.
Rebekah likes to hide from daddy when he comes home. Lately she has decided to hiding her face is enough. This is her latest attempt. Dad of course comes in and very dutifully looks for her. All the while she is giggling. Very fun.
We've made some good friends. They invited us over to make pumpkin pizzas. It's a recipe from a children's book. The kids had fun measuring and decorating the said pizzas. Then they had fun eating it. It was pretty good! Love how you can obviously tell which side is Rebekah's side. she does love to decorate.
