The good news is dad definitely vetoed mom's suggestion of "Donabeth." Now mom is trying to use the middle name of Sky. Then they could name me Luke. Luke Sky Walker. She even suggested we get a dog and name it R2, and dad could walk around saying, "Luke, I am your father...." Yeah, mom thinks it's clever. But the good news is I'm okay with the names they actually have in mind.
So far, life has been good. Actually, it's been a little rocky - got to get mom to stop throwing up all the time. She's such a wimp! Can't handle a little baby inside her. SHEESH mom....
I'm so excited to come out and meet you all. Mom has told me all about all of you.
That's Paul. It's gonna be great to have a brother that can reach the treats mom hides on the top shelf.
He'll also show me how to beat dad on all the video games!

That's Kayla. She's getting married really soon.
Hope she comes around a lot - she's really good at teasing dad.
And then there's the Stirland side. Can't wait to meet them. I already know so many things about them. Like, although mom calls him Daniel, all the cool people call him Danny - so Uncle Danny it is. And then Uncle JoJo - he's the best story teller. And if I want chocolate all I have to do is talk to Aunt Jamie or Uncle Michael. Uncle Spencer can emphathize with my no hair situation until it grows in (actually Uncle Danny can do that too)... And to be a true part of the family, I must learn to tease Grandma Stirland like all my uncles and mom do. Oh, and I have a great grandma Barney! She keeps saying she won't be around when I get here, but I'm betting she will be. Oh, and I have cousins that I can't wait to meet!
I also have a Grandma Walker. This is her picture:
She sent mom a present for me. A little onesie!
Woo Hoo! Party at Grandma Walker's! Thanks Grandma!
Before I go, mom wanted me to show this blanket she made for me.
There's a story behind this one: About a month ago dad came home and told mom that she needed a project to help keep her mind of how sick she has been. (Dad knows her so well. Hard to believe they've only been married a year.) So mom went through all her baby blanket patterns and together they picked one (don't let dad fool you - he LIVES to be involved in that type of stuff.) That weekend they went to the store and bought some yarn. Dad helped pick out the colors. Mom finally finished it yesterday. I'll do my best not to spit up on it.
And speaking of that, just for future reference, I only spit up on people I love.
See you all in a few months!
