Made for Each Other

I come into the kitchen after a long day with Rebekah to find my sweet husband looking grim and on his shoulder was a potato chip.  Get it?  Now, I love a good pun, but you got to love a man who can add the visual aspect to it.  I laughed out loud!
Welcome to the family, Don.  You're truly one of us now.  Excellent.

Oldies But Goodies....

Explanations by me, Rebekah WillaMay.

My first tummy time experience
December 10, 2011
Go Team Walker!

First time mama let me sleep on my tummy
(don't worry, mama was always checking on me to make sure I was still breathing...)

Trying to wake up from a nap....

First Dress
Thanks Aunt Courtney...
(Daddy bought me my pretty tights for Christmas.  Thanks Daddy!)

Caught in thoughtful pondering...

My 9 weeks old picture!  Everyone mama sent this to loves this picture.
So, I must give the people what they want and post it here.

And since we're on the subject of "Oldies but Goodies...", mama says it's Grandma Stirland's birthday today.  Mama says she's 65!  Wonder what that is in weeks?  Mama just figured it out for me.  Grandma, you are 3,380 weeks old!  WOW!
Happy birthday Grandma!  Can't wait for you to hold me so I can spit up on you again!

Ny trip

Don's son Paul came up after Christmas to spend a little time with his dad and meet his new sister.  One of the things Paul wanted to do was to visit the city and see the tree.  So, Don and Paul ventured off.

One of their stops was the M & M shop.

Which color to buy.... so many choices....

Don is so thoughtful! He took the yellow M & M picture in honor of my little brother Michael.

Yay for Michael!
And yay for Don for being so thoughtful!

A little view of the city...

and the late show....

Don informed me that Mr. Letterman is a fellow Hoosier.  Go Indiana!

Yet another candy shop...

And oh look! The Tree!

On the train home after a long day in the city.

Paul LOVES having his picture taken.  Like father, like son....

Family Pictures

This holiday season we decided to take some impromptu family pictures.

Here's the Walker family

Check out the look on Don's face and match it with Paul's.  Yes, they are totally related, and both totally happy to be here.  :D

And finally, to close,
I thought I'd throw in the picture with a little yellow jacket I made her.

Christmas Firsts

This Christmas was one of many firsts.  Our first Christmas tree, for example.  I know what you're thinking: what about last year?  Well, Don was just getting over a bad case of pneumonia and I was getting over acute bronchitis.  By the time we were better it was a little late.  So, here's our first Christmas tree.

Yes, we know it's small.  We didn't want anything too big, so
we got a live one in hopes of planting it one day.
That is, if I can keep it alive that long...

Rebekah got her first Santa shirt.  It says "Auntie knows Santa" - which I'm sure she'll remember the advice for next year.

If Rebekah could talk she'd say, "Thanks Aunt Jamie!"

It was the first time Rebekah and Paul met.  Yay for big brothers!

Paul bought Rebekah the shirt.  It says,
I love mommy
and tractors...

And Rebekah thought she'd give mama and daddy a wonderful Christmas present.  The night before Christmas Eve, Rebekah slept through the night!  I was so worried I got up several times to check if she was breathing.  The next night she slept through again.  This was a picture after one of those long night sleeps.

When she wakes up after a long night of sleep she likes to stretch.
and stretch....
and stretch...
it really takes a good 3 minutes or so.
Fun to watch.  Some day I'll try to record it...
